Slide-on/Push-on Coupling

This coupling mechanism consists of a very simple metal-to-metal contact mating. These designs require tight manufacturing tolerances to ensure high performance, although the mechanism is present on many simple low performance interfaces. The technician experiences no positive confirmation of mating, so careful attention must be paid to prevent damage from excessive force. Most blind-mate designs use a slide-on or push-on mating.
