U.FL RF connectors, also known as Ultra Miniature Coaxial connectors, are PCB/board-mount miniature RF connectors designed by Hirose Electric. These connectors are characterised by their small size, lightweight, and high-frequency performance, making them ideal for applications in space-constrained environments. Physically, U.FL connectors are compact, with a nominal impedance of 50 ohms. They feature a mated height of 2.0 to 2.5 mm and a mounted height of 2.4 mm. Electrically, U.FL connectors are designed for high-frequency applications, with a frequency range of DC up to 6 GHz. The connectors are also characterized by their high durability, supporting up to 30 mating cycles. U.FL connectors are typically used in wireless communication devices, GPS systems, and other applications requiring high-frequency signal transmission in a compact form factor.
