4G Network

The company launched its 4G LTE service in 2010 using LTE B20 (800 MHz), B3 (1800 MHz), and B7 (2600 MHz) bands. The company rolled out LTE-A to carrier aggregate the three LTE bands, advertising peak DL data rates of between 250 and 600 Mbps. The company later began LTE Advanced Pro and demonstrated peak DL data rates over 2 Gbps.

The company made a first for Austria when in November 2017 it launched the nation's first NB-IoT network over a 200 kHz B8 (900 MHz) channel, with a strong focus on smart city applications including parking, street lighting, waste disposal, and charging stations.

5G Network

In February 2018 T-Mobile announced the first 5G NR implementation, utilising a preliminary 5G standard to provide data rates over 2 Gbps in the city of Innsbruck. In the country's March 2019 5G spectrum auction, T-Mobile secured 110 MHz of 3.5 GHz spectrum, from 3690 to 3800 MHz. The company immediately announced that 25 sites would go live in March following the award procedure. True to its word, T-Mobile Austria launched its 5G network on 26 March 2019.

The company later added n1 (2100 MHz) in July 2020 and n28 (700 MHz) in May 2021.
