The V2X 5800 band is a Time-Division Duplex LTE band operating in the unlicensed 5 GHz spectrum. The band is used as a supplemental carrier under what is referred to as Licence Assisted Access (LAA). The V2X band is specifically set aside to facilitate vehicle communications.
