A small portion of the 900 MHz frequency range is available for use by the general public. Following ITU Radio Regulations, the ACMA opened a small frequency range from 915 to 928 MHz that sits within the global 900 MHz ISM band (902 to 928 MHz).

Operation of transmitters in this frequency range is governed by ACMA LIPD Class 2000. Transmitters operating in this band must fall under one of the below classifications.
