Active Antennas

What are Active Antennas?

Active Antennas are the future of wireless communication. With the rapid advancement of 4G and 5G technologies, traditional antennas that use thick and clumsy coaxial cables have been replaced with smart antennas.

Active Antennas are an evolution to external antennas, integrating the radio chains directly into the antenna array. By eliminating coaxial-based interconnections, Active Antennas are able to integrate higher order spatial multiplexing to leverage AAS base station technology and provide far superior data speeds.

Advanced spatial multiplexing not only ensures the maximum possible rank indicator, but delivers significant performance improvement under weak signal conditions.

Active Antennas are an essential part of WTTx and cellular-based FWA / GWA networks.
