The Telstra 5G Wi-Fi Pro is an advanced WiFi hotspot modem developed by ZTE.
One of the very first modems supporting 26 GHz mmWave 5G, the Telstra 5G WiFi Pro is capable of achieving very high speed data rates beyond 3 Gb/s in 5G EN-DC supported areas, and up to 2 Gb/s in 4G LTE-Advanced Pro areas.
The ZTE MU500 supports 802.11ax WiFi 6, providing data rates beyond 700 Mb/s with compatible 11ax devices. Additionally, the unit has a gigabit RJ45 LAN port to support connection to a larger network.

Recommended Use
The Telstra 5G Wi-Fi Pro modem has dual TS-9 RF connectors supporting the connection of a sub-6 GHz external antenna. Connection of an external antenna can provide a significant increase in 4G data rates, and may also help achieve a 5G connection indoors.
5G however has limited support for external antennas due to the complex transmission characteristics, and therefore performance with an external antenna may be lower than would be achieved using the modem outside the building.
