Cambium's PTP 820S is a single core packet microwave radio capable of L2 data rates up to 833 Mb/s. 820S is capable of running 2048QAM in channel sizes up to 60 MHz and 1024QAM as wide as 80 MHz.
PTP 820S is a licensed microwave solution. An annual spectrum license is purchased from the national regulating body to guarantee interference-free data connectivity. The high transmit power permitted by the license conditions can allow data links beyond 80 kilometres to be established.
As an all-packet radio, Cambium 820S connects using standard 48 Vdc PoE, with two additional 1000BASE-X fibre interfaces. The durable all-ODU form-factor uses standard waveguide sizing to interface with all industry-leading antenna manufacturers.
Recommended Use
Cambium 820S can be configured to operate in 1+0, 1+1, or 2+0 HSBY. For even higher performance applications R-Spectrum can develop links using multicore 820C and 820C HP radios, allowing data rates as high as 1.67 Gb/s, configurations including 4+0 and 2+2 HSBY, and 4x4 LOS MIMO.
820S is an industry standard radio, providing ultra reliable point to point microwave connectivity using licensed spectrum. During project planning, R-Spectrum conducts link design and coordination, assessing all harmonised bands from 6 to 38 GHz to ensure uncompromising data connectivity at an economic price point.
