Telecommunications in Abkhazia

There are two mobile networks operating in Abkhazia; Aquafon, and A-Mobile, with both companies providing GSM, UMTS, and LTE services. Due to the region's declared independence from Georgia, no Georgian mobile network operates or provide coverage within Abkhazia.

It is expected that Abkhazia follow ITU Region-1 guidelines, however it is unclear as to what telecommunications regulatory practices are present.
