About the 8 GHz Band

The 8 GHz band is globally harmonised through the International Telecommunication Union's Recommendation ITU-R F.386 for microwave technology.

ITU-R F.386 defines radio-frequency channel arrangements for fixed wireless systems operating in the 8 GHz (7725 to 8500 MHz) band. Each country develops its own specific operating conditions based on the global ITU-R recommendation, covering information such as antenna sizing, minimum distance requirements, and geographic coordination.
