About RG-316 Cable

RG-316 is a simple, low cost coaxial cable. With a 2.50 mm outer diameter, RG-316 established itself as an economic replacement for RG-174. However with the ever increasing demand for spectrum the cable's frequency limit of 3 GHz rendered it unusable for many modern RF applications such as 802.11ac WiFi, 4G LTE-A Pro, and 5G.

Most technology developers have replaced RG-316 with L-100 coaxial cable.
