This band was released under the LIPD Class License in 2018, permitting the operation of "Data communications transmitters used outdoors" without a licensing fee, provided conditions of the LIPD Class Licence were observed.

Conditions

  • Frequency range 59000 to 63000 MHz
  • Maximum EIRP 150 Watts
  • The transmitter must not be operated on board an aircraft
  • The maximum transmitter power must not exceed 20 mW
  • The transmitter must not cause spurious emissions outside the band at or greater than –30 dBm/MHz
  • The transmitter must only be used outdoors.
